Mitsuro Wax Forming - An Introduction to this unique wax
About Mitsuro Wax:
To give it its full name, Mitsuro Hikime, has been around for centuries. This little known about and ancient Japanese wax making technique creates a truly unique and pliable type of wax. Made by hand, the wax when manipulated, creates beautiful ridges and wrinkled textures, It must be warmed slowly with your hands to become malleable. After pulling and folding the wax into itself over and over, the wax forms unique striations. This wax technique allows you to create flowing sculptural curves with organic, linear texture. The wax designs, when cast into metal, creates a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery. No piece will ever be the same. Any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Tracy.
