Our Studio
Our fully equipped jewellery workshop is situated in Litherland, Liverpool, Merseyside.
We offer a full range of jewellery and silversmithing workshops and classes - from fun taster classes to full jewellery courses which will enable you to launch your own jewellery business.
Unless otherwise stated, no experience is necessary for our beginners 6 week jewellery courses or for most of our fun taster classes. We believea anyone can make jewellery - no matter what you skill level is. We are here to help you. We also offer silversmithing and specialised technique workshops for the more advanced students who have completed various courses or classes. We also provide information on where the best places are for purchasing metal and tools and we also continually offer advice and tips for launching your own jewellery business.
Each student attending our jewellery school will have their own full equipped workbench, which is fitted with a bench peg, Foredom quick release pendant drill and overhead magnifier light. Each bench also has its own soldering station with 2 hand held gas torches. Each work bench also has all the hand tools you'll need - plier set, needle files, jewellers saw and blades, stone setting tools, hand clamps, ring mandrel and sizers plus more. You will also have access to the wide range of bench machinery - Pillar Drill, grinders, polishers, rolling mill and hydraulic press.
Our large soldering station for use when making large items or for casting - has enough room for two students to work side by side at the same time. the soldering station has a Smiths Little torch with various burners as well as 2 x Sievert torches with different size burners - each with its own propane tank. There are also various turntables, tripods, charcoal and honeycomb blocks and plenty of soldering tweezers picks and third hands.
We also have a larger tool station, which has a hydraulic press, polisher and grinder, a rolling mill and various hammers, blocks, and sandbags etc.
In short we should have everything you would need to create your designs.
Our class sizes are small to allow you dedicated time with your tutor and also to allow access to the bench tools without having to queue to use them.
