Suitable for those who have taken the beginner's and Intermediate courses, or for those who have done metal work and are proficient in soldering techniques. What to expect in this course:
You do need to have completed our Beginners and Intermediate Courses, or have some prior jewellery making skills.
During this 3 week course, you will learn how to make collets and how to make a claw/prong and basket settings. We will delve into organic casting, by using water and dry food shapes
You will be taught by our very experienced tutors Tracy and Keith, who will constantly be on hand to help and advise you.
Our small unisex class which is held in our Liverpool workshop, is a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts, or may even be the start of a new career.
Each student bench has its own complete set of hand tools, soldering station, a Foredom quick release pendant drill, an overhead light with magnifier. The workshop also has a larger tool section, such as drill press, hydraulic press, rolling mill and bench grinder and polisher.
For students under 18, you will need a parent's consent to attend these classes.
We can only accommodate 4 students in our Level 3 classes; therefore early booking is essential.

Hand Tools used:
Each workbench will have all the tools needed to make your chosen piece - which includes a pendant drill, soldering station and overhead light with magnifier. We also have other tools, such as a hydraulic press, pillar drill, bench grinder, rolling mill, and soldering station with a Little smiths torch and A Sievert torch Materials provided: Consumables and an allocation of brass and copper supplied. You will need to provide your own materials - silver, gemstones etc. A small selection of tools and materials are available to purchase from me. |
