Silhouette Pendant Or Earring Charms

Class level: 
​Introductory workshop, suitable for those with no previous experience and a great taster class for those taking their first steps into jewellery making. All ages over the age of 16 welcome. You are never too old to learn a new skill.

Outline: 
​During this class, you can choose to make either a pair of sterling silver silhouette earrings or a pendant. Metal and earring findings provided. You can choose whatever shape or design you like. I have various designs you can use as a template, but you are welcome to draw your own. The aim of this class is to give you the opportunity to make a piece of jewellery that you can take home and wear with pride.  You will learn traditional jewellery skills like how to pierce (saw) your design out of sheet metal, how to make a jump ring, and how to texture with hammers, file and polish your design. You will make a practice piece in copper first. All materials provided. 
 
This intimate unisex class which is held in our Liverpool workshop, is also a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts, and it might even be the start of a new career.

For those between the ages of 16-18 you will need written consent from a parent.

Materials provided:​
Base metals, earring findings ((hook, stud, hoop, etc ) and an allocation of sterling silver included in the cost of the course.

​Refreshments:
Tea, Coffee and biscuits provided.

What to Bring:
  • Wear old clothes. Safety glasses and aprons will be provided
  • Long hair to be tied back. 
  • Closed shoes - no sandals.
  • Spectacles if you need them for close work
  • Notebook and pencil
