Crystal Wand Bezel Setting
|
Class level: Intermediate
Suitable for those who have good piercing and soldering skills. Outline: You will be taken through each of the steps of how to create this type of setting by our fully qualified tutors. You will have access to our collection of gemstone and crystal wands. If you have a favourite crystal wand of your own that you'd love to set, then you are more than welcome to bring it. During this workshop, well start off by selecting your crystal wand. You'll then be shown how to design your setting around your chosen stone. Once you have designed your piece, you will then be taken through each stage of creating your bezel by our qualified tutors. You will be shown how to measure and then cut grooves into the bezel wall to enable you to create sharp angles at each of the crystal corners. You will then be shown how to cut out your back plate in sterling silver sheet. You will then be shown how to solder all your pieces together, before finally polishing your design. The last step is to actually set the stone. This intimate unisex class which is held in our Liverpool workshop, is also a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts, and it might even be the start of a new career. Refreshments: Tea, Coffee and biscuits provided. What to Bring:
