Automata and Kinetic, Workshop
New Class Coming Soon

Kinetic/Automaton/Mechanical Class Have you yearned to make a piece of jewellery, or an ornament which is not static but that can move in someway? Make a bird fly, or have hares leaping in the grass, or have a cloud move from side to side? Then this is the class for you. You will have the choice of designs - whether you prefer automato, where you make cams and by turning a little handle, your object will move up and down - or whether you prefer to use sliders to have your design to move up and down, or sideways on sliders. It doesn't matter how it moves as long as it does. The options are numerous. We will have a couple of different designs for you to choose from - but if you have something you'd specifically like to make, contact Tracy and see if it is feasible to do in the time allocated for the class. |

Class level:
Advanced. Suitable for those with a good level of jewellery making skills. Outline: We understand that students might not be confident to make their first of automata in sterling silver, so for this class we will be making a piece in your choice of either copper or brass. If you are confident and would like to make it in sterling silver, there will be an extra charge for precious metals. Alternatively you can supply your own. With enough advance notice, Tracy can also order in silver in time for your class. This cosy unisex class which is held in our Liverpool workshop, is also a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts. Refreshments:
