Class level:
Suitable for anyone  who wants to experience the medium of silver clay.

Outline:
During this 3 hour introduction to our precious metal clay class , we will introduce you to the tools and how to use them and cover some basic techniques including torch firing and kiln firing.

You will have the option of either making something unique, by texturing and shaping your clay into your desired shape - or
We will  show you how can make a mould of an item - it can be anything - a natural item like a little shell, or a twig or pod, or perhaps you have a special little charm - even plastic - you'd like to make in fine silver.

The moulds are reusable, and you will be able to take them home with you, for you to re-use again and again.

We will of issue you with some silver clay, where you will have the opportunity to texture and shape your clay into your desired shape - whether a pendant or a pair of earrings.

Whilst that is drying, we will have a short tea break, and then the fun really begins. your will fire your piece with a torch and watch how the clay turns into pure silver. Watching the clay turn into pure silver is magic and pure alchemy.

You will then finish off your piece by shining it up, and it will be ready to wear or present as a gift to somebody.

This intimate unisex class which is held in our Liverpool workshop, is also a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts.
