Our Workshop
Our fully equipped jewellery school is situated in a garden, in Litherland, Liverpool, Merseyside.
Our school offers a full range of professional jewellery and silversmithing workshops and classes, tailored to suit beginners right through to advanced courses. We also offer various fun one day taster classes.
Unless otherwise stated, no experience is necessary for our beginners 6 week jewellery courses or for most of our fun taster classes. We believe anyone can make jewellery - no matter what you skill level is. We are here to help you. We also offer silversmithing and specialised technique workshops for the more advanced students who have completed various courses or classes. We also provide information on where the best places are for purchasing metal and tools and we also continually offer advice and tips for launching your own jewellery business. All classes are taught by experienced and professional jewellers.
Our workshop is fully equipped with all the tools needed for all of your classes. There is no need to stand in long queues waiting to use equipment, as each student attending our jewellery school will have their own fully equipped workbench, which is fitted with a bench peg, Foredom quick release pendant drill and overhead magnifier light. Every bench also has its own soldering station with 2 hand held gas torches. Each work bench also has all the hand tools needed including plier sets, needle files, jewellers saw and blades, stone setting tools, hand clamps, ring mandrel and sizers, plus more. You will also have access to the wide range of bench machinery - Pillar Drill, grinders, polishers, rolling mill and hydraulic press.
Our large soldering station for use when making large items or for casting - has enough room for two students to work side by side at the same time. the soldering station has a Smiths Little torch with various burners as well as 2 x Sievert torches with different size burners - each with its own propane tank. There are also various turntables, tripods, charcoal and honeycomb blocks and plenty of soldering tweezers picks and third hands.
We also have a larger tool station, which has a hydraulic press, polisher and grinder, a rolling mill and various hammers, blocks, and sandbags etc.
