Flush Setting
Picture

Outline:
During this 3 hour class, Hannah our experienced stone setter will guide you through the metal thickness and stone sizes suitable for flush setting. She will then take you through all the steps of  creating your own flush setting - which you will then put into practice.

You will be shown how to:
  • Create your own burnishing tool.
  • Size and measure your stone.
  • Use different burrs to cut a seat for your stones
  • How to set your stones

As always with any new technique learned we recommend you set aside some time to practice the skills you learn to develop your technique. Flush settings are very versatile and can be used in all sorts of jewellery pieces - stud earrings/pendants, brooches and of course rings. They can also be used for any shape, round, square, oval, pear etc.
