Cocktail Stirrer
People often get confused between a jeweller and a silversmith.  As the name implies, a jeweller designs and creates all things jewellery related, but  a silversmith is a metalworker who crafts objects, tableware, cutlery and vessels from silver or other precious metals - E.g vases, containers, bowls, wine coasters candlestick holders and in this case - cocktail stirrers.

Class level:
Beginner, but some soldering experience would be advantageous. However, if you are a complete beginner, our tutors are on hand to help you every step of the way. We will ensure that you go home with a finished piece.

Outline:
The aim of this class is to give you the opportunity to experiment with making larger objects other than jewellery.

You will make the cocktail stick or spoon in copper, however if you'd like to make it in silver you can either supply your own, or contact Tracy before hand so you can purchase silver on the day. Cost will be dependant on silver prices at the time.

You can decide what message you'd like to stamp on your stirrer.

This cocktail stirrer has a twisted stem and a flat base. The small flat base will fit inside most shot glasses and also doubles as a convenient blunt end to crush solid ingredients to help release flavours.

You can stamp your own message on the disc.

These cocktail stirrers make the perfect gift for a budding bartenders or for a gin or cocktail lover.
