Introductory workshop, suitable for those with no previous experience and a great taster class for those taking their first steps into jewellery making. All ages welcome. You are never too young or old to learn a new skill.

​Outline: 
The aim of this class is to give you the opportunity to make a piece of jewellery which you can either take home and wear with pride, or to gift to somebody special. 

You have the choice of making either 2 slim stacking bangles, or 1 x thicker bangle. Extra silver can be purchased from me on the day.
​
During this relaxed and friendly class you will learn how to size, shape and solder your sterling silver bangles and attach either a crystal bead or if the time permits, you can piece out a simple charm to attach to them. During the session you will learn how to texture the pieces using stamps, tools and hammers. You will also  polish your design. I have a number of simple charm sketches available for your use, or you could draw your own design. Whilst making each piece you will learn traditional jewellery making skills required for your design. All materials provided.

This intimate unisex class in our Liverpool workshop, is a great environment to develop your creativity and do something fun with like-minded people. It also offers the opportunity to make lovely original gifts, and it might even be the start of a new career. This is suitable for a complete beginner; but for those with a bit of experience, it is a perfect opportunity to develop your skills.

​The course runs for 4 hours, but can on occasion run over to allow students to complete  their project. 

​Please bring a packed lunch with you.

​For students between the ages of 16-18 you will need written consent from a parent.

  • Sterling  silver wire (for two stacker bangles or one thicker bangle)
  • Sterling silver sheet - to pierce out your charm design
  • You can purchase additional sterling silver sheet and wire too.

  • ​Refreshments:
    Unlimited, tea, coffee and biscuits available.

  • What to Bring:

    This is a workshop environment, so your well being and safety is important to us. To ensure this is a safe - but fun environment for you to learn in; we ask that you please:
    ​
  • Wear comfortable old clothing, or bring an apron. Ear defenders and safety glasses are provided.
  • Long hair to be tied back. 
  • No loose flowing scarves, long sleeves or jewellery to be worn. These can easily get caught up in machinery.
  • Closed flat shoes - no sandals allowed.
  • Spectacles, if needed for close up work.
  • Notebook and pencil. Although we do provide some hand outs, you may want to take your own notes or draw sketches.
